This week with Host - Andy Doonan!!

Andy Doonan is a Guiseley singer-songwriter who won his way to the national final of Live and Unsigned in 2011 and thus appeared at the O2 Arena in London.
Andy has played a number of high profile gigs both as a solo artiste and with his backing band The Lightwalks. He has a regular bookings at The Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester and the Suburban Bar in Baildon and regularly provides support for nationally known bands at The Duchess in York, most recently for Toploader. Only last weekend he supported nationally known band The Staves at The Brudenell in Leeds as part of their UK Tour and in March supported Guiseley's internationally-klnown singing star peter Grant on the Leeds leg of his UK tour..
Andy is soon to make his third appearance at the Station Guiseley Music Festival (May 6th) with his band The Lightwalks, and they have travelled all over the UK to headline famous venues such as The Cavern Club in Liverpool and have played at renowned venues such as The Bedford in London, Manchester Academy, The Scarborough Open Air Theatre, The Library in Leeds and The Duchess in York.In 2011 Andy released his debut album ‘Lights and Mirrors’ recorded with The Pigeon Detectives producer Andy Hawkins.
After supporting chart-topping acts such as The Hoosiers, Toploader and The Twang along with Peter Grant, Jon Allen and Brian Houston, as well as having festival slots with The Levellers and The Charlatans, Andy is starting to make serious waves on the gig scene.

This week with Guest Hosts Waiting for Wednesday!!
      
Anna Watkins has been wowing audiences with her Janis Joplin-esque voice for 3 years in a rock covers band known as 'Rubber Kazoo'. Laura Shackleton has been writing songs, playing guitar and singing her heart out for 6 years, and has dabbled in various folk bands such as 'Hippy & The Toffs' and 'The Longford Family Band'. 
The girls met each other after seeing one another perform and decided to get together for a 'jam' around January 2011. A few strums, two voices, 3 cases of beer and several hangovers later they decided they could make something of it. Booked a few gigs and never looked back. Waiting For Wednesday play a mixture of heartfelt originals and some quirky covers of pop, rock, country and folk songs. The banter and friendship between the two is very apparent on stage.

Joe & Dave Dunwell - LIVE @ The Albert!!

The Albert can't wait to welcome back Dave, This time as a Duet with Joe. After a FANTASTIC Night in April this looks to be an AMAZING Performance!!

        We present a rare opportunity to see Joe & Dave Dunwell live at The Albert, Yeadon, between tours of the USA by their fast rising band The Dunwells. Dave  & Joe have played as a solo performers all around West Yorkshire for many years before finding success with The Dunwells band. They recently returned from a six week tour of the USA taking in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Memphis, Denver, Salt Lake City and of course Austin, Texas, where they recorded their album Blind Sighted Faith, which was released to much acclaim in both the USA and the UK in February.
Dave, Joe and the band will soon be returning to the States, after playing a number of festivals in England and playing in Holland, so catch this opportunity to hear  them playing on your doorstep. They and the band are lined up alongside Black Sabbath and Florence and The Machine to play at the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago in August.

The Albert are proud to welcome back Recycled!!! Playing Live Sat 5th May from 9pm!!


 Recycled is a newly formed Rock Band covering a variety of rock songs ranging from Billy Idol,Queen,Skin,Kaiser Chiefs,The Killers,Foo Fighters,The Enemy, 
Def Leppard,Green Day,The Stereophonics,U2,Nirvana and many more.
We were members of previous known Rock Bands ..and decided to bring something new to the Rock Fraternity....hence the Band name"Recycled"
We are a bunch of great Guy's out to entertain and have a good laugh with you along the way whilst knocking out some cracking Tunes.
